~ ~ Yara vom Traventhal ~ ~
Yara was my third Eurasier (2016) and my second import from the KZG Eurasier Club in Germany. A special thanks to Dr. Cornelia Burk for helping me find Yara and to Gisela Madaus (Traventhal Euraisers), Yara's breeder, for trusting me to take one of her precious puppies across the ocean to the USA. Yara has become the foundation bitch of our breeding program and kennel, Wiskota Eurasiers. Yara was a fearless puppy and has a strong will. She matured into a fine adult and really enjoys agility and tricks training. We attempted scent work but she was too distracted. We have also done conformation in the US Eurasier Club matches where she has won Best in Show. She loves her hikes and runs in the National Forest, her favorite activity.
Yara is a fine representation of the Eurasier breed standard, her temperament is breed typical. She had her first litter in 2019 and is a fierce 'mama bear'. She is a natural mother and makes our jobs a bit easier because of that.
~ ~ Brewer von Loninga ~ ~
Brewer was my fourth Eurasier (2018) and my third import. Brewer comes from the Swiss Eurasier Club (SEC) in Switzerland. A special thank you to Peter & Irene Erb (Loninga Eurasiers) for allowing me to be part of their Eurasier family and to bring their little boy across the big ocean to the USA. Also a special thank you to Dr. Cornelia Burk for helping me find such a wonderful puppy and for vouching for me as a Eurasier owner. Brewer's lineage was exciting for me to bring to the USA. Brewer's grandparents include a Samoyed and a German Wolfspitz. These outcrossings were done under the umbrella of the FCI in Europe. The clubs of origin in Germany have realized that the breed needed some new genetics to help diversify the Eurasier breed bloodlines. The average genetic coefficient of inbreeding (COI) for the Eurasier breed ranges from approximately 20-24%. Brewer's genetic COI is only 7%. For me it was exciting to have the opportunity to bring over a lower COI bloodline.
Brewer is very athletically built, he is fast and strong and the biggest marshmallow you can find. He warms up to new friends at his own pace and he will let you know when he's ready to be your friend. It usually doesn't take long before he is pushing at your hand or arm to give him pets.
~ ~ Wiskota's Bozak ~ ~
"Bobo" is a son of Yara and Brewer. He was not in our plans but we cannot imagine life without him. Bobo is from Yara's second litter, born in 2020. He had a birth defect called hypospadias. Due to the uncertainty of what he may or may not need in regards to medical care, we decided he was already in his forever home with us.
As luck would have it, Bobo required very little to be done medically. He's a bit of a miracle dog.
Bobo is such a handsome boy and its too bad he is not 'whole'. His temperament is wonderful. He is breed typical in that he is a bit reserved with strangers, but only for a minute. Offer him some food and he is forever your friend. He follows in his mother's footsteps with some independence, but he just really wants to do 'something' with his humans. He's a big snuggly floof.
